The Owl: Loose Abstract Style

The Owl: Loose Abstract Style

I love owls. There's just something about their attitude that gets me. Like, they're out here being all wise and mysterious while giving everyone major side-eye. Badass.

I knew I wanted to paint an owl, so I'm staring at this blank canvas thinking, "What if owls didn't have to be boring brown?" What if they got the color treatment they deserve?

The blues, golds and russet red. I think it works.

And those amber eyes? They're staring right into your soul (in the best way).

I love a loose, abstract painting style. No fussy details, just pure expression and happy accidents. LOTS of messy accidents. It's like the art equivalent of messy hair that somehow looks perfect.

If you are the purchaser of Franklin, I really hope he is happy in his new home. Thank you! I appreciate you more than you know.

As always I want to mention my art is live at The Muskegon Market and Mercantile in Muskegon, Michigan
